Abstract
Children make a strong resistance against therapist and have many difficulties verbally to express their own psychological problems. For these causes a child psychotherapist has many difficulties to inquire the inner private world of children and to tate a therapy with them. This study is attempted to solve these problems through appling the fairy tales in the child play therapy setting. The fairy tale is archetypal sto±³ which is ¢¥the soul of the stories¢¥ that transmitted by the words of mouth for along time. The fairy tale handles the psychological unknown archetype symbolically and deals as a main theme with the development of human being, in other words, the story of growing up. In addition the fairy tale exhibits the psychological conflicts and problems which can be occurred during the developmental process. The therapeutic important point is that the fairy tale is not only to unfold the problems, but also to present the problem solving mechanism. These factors can be applied as a essential part of the effective play therapy not only to diagnose the child¢¥s psychological problems, but also to take a therapy with children.
